Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy Massage is a beautiful treat for mums-to-be in need of relaxation but also those in need of relief from back pain and body aches caused by the postural changes pregnancy brings about.

Specific acupressure points can also be introduced in the latter stages of pregnancy to help the body prepare for birth.

I use a nourishing massage oil and balm, formulated for use during pregnancy to help reduce stretch marks, moisturise and protect the skin.

Specific concerns such as anxiety and sleep issues can also be addressed with the addition of a bespoke essential oil blend.

Pregnancy Massage Questions

If you have previously experienced miscarriage or a complicated pregnancy, please speak to your doctor or midwife for advice first but otherwise, yes!

However, if you would rather remain clothed, there are still ways I can help. You might also like to consider an Indian Head Massage which is done without oil and therefore without the need to get undressed.

Please note that you also do not need to apologise for not having shaved your legs, or be wearing your best underwear. Rumbling tummies, burps and even passing wind are normal responses to the body relaxing – you do not need to be embarrassed!

Yes! I can adapt the session to suit you and often tailor a treatment depending on a client’s comfort, especially in the latter stages. Please get in touch and we can discuss options.

Massage may offer some short-term relief but if you haven’t spoken to your doctor or midwife about this please do so first to rule out any underlying problems.

No. You can book for an Aromatherapy Blending Session which is best done face-to-face but can also be done via Zoom if necessary.

Together we can find the right combination of oils and I can blend them for you for safe use in pregnancy.

Yes! An Indian Head Massage is a popular choice or you could have a Holistic Facial. Please get in touch if you’d like to discuss the most suitable option for you.
